On Thursday, April 21, 2021, UFCW Local 832 members at Wings of Power in Pine Falls ratified a new one-year collective agreement. The agreement includes a 1% increase on wages that includes retroactive pay as well as a new premium for long service members.
“It’s great to see a wage increase for frontline workers,” said Union Negotiator Phil Kraychuk. “This is a positive takeaway for a committed group that supports their community.”
Wings of Power is a grassroots community and family-based resource centre that strives to empower families and partner with community resources to enhance wellness, learning, and growth opportunities for children and families. Members provide programming activities in day programs and support individuals with day-to-day living in group homes.
