With locations in both Winnipeg and Brandon and a variety of learning tracks, our Training Centre is a resource for members, their families and their communities.
Mission
The UFCW Training Centre empowers our members through education so they can meet their full potential, find their voice, and recognize the influence they have in their workplace, community and across the province.

There are two UFCW 832 Training Centre locations in Manitoba, situated in the heart of Winnipeg and Brandon to serve our members in those communities.

History
Though its focus has shifted with the changing needs and interests of members, the UFCW 832 Training Centre opened in the nineties on the principle of providing accessible education.
- Union Activists can learn more about how to be effective Shop Stewards and Health & Safety Committee members.
- Union members can be certified in First Aid, receive career transition support when laid off or workplaces close, or take on additional general training and/or receive funding for post-secondary education for themselves or their children.
- The public can update their Adult High School education, advance their skills in English as an additional language or become certified as a Manitoba Security Guard.

Facility Rentals
Need to rent a room for a meeting or event? We have two Training Centres located in Manitoba, situated in the heart of Winnipeg and Brandon, with a variety of rooms available to rent to our members when not in use by UFCW Local 832.
We have smaller classrooms available for community or board meetings for a fee, and larger rooms that can host up to 120 people,
Winnipeg Facilities
Main Hall (capacity: 80 people)
- Can be split into Left and Right – 40 ppl each
Large Classroom (capacity: 44 people)
- Can be split into Left and Right – 22 ppl each
Computer Lab (capacity: 26 people)
Small Classroom (capacity: 22 people)
RENTAL RATES
WINNIPEG FACILITY RENTAL RATES THAT SERVE OUR MEMBERS AND COMMUNITY:
- Rentals of four hours or less: $160 + GST
- Rentals of four to eight hours: $320 + GST
- Rentals that occur outside the normal Training Centre operating hours: $50/every additional hour (on top of $320 for first 8 hours)
- Education Fund Employers (link to ettf employers page) can use our facilities free of charge during regular office hours. If a trust fund employer wants to book outside of regular office hours they must cover the cost of security services.

RENTAL RATES
BRANDON FACILITY RENTAL RATES THAT SERVE OUR MEMBERS AND COMMUNITY
- Rentals of three hours or less: $90 + cleaning fee*
- Holiday/Stats rentals of three hours or less: $180 + cleaning fee*
- All rentals are subject to security being available. .Security must be on site at all times for outside groups (three hours minimum) and requires a week’s notice for booking.
- No alcohol on site.
*Cleaning fees: $60 for bookings of less than 20 people, $100 for bookings over 20 people. Event cleaning must be booked in advance by Training Centre staff.
