On April 26, UFCW Local 832 members at Heartland Livestock Services voted to ratify a new collective bargaining agreement with wage increases of 8.25% over the course of the three-year contract.

Other highlights from their contract include:

  • A one-hour increase to minimum shift hours and emergency call-ins (from three to four hours) and an increased allotment for meal allowances.

“Our members were happy to see some meaningful contract improvements with this round of negotiations,” says Joe Carreiro, Union Negotiator.
