After an excellent round of bargaining, members at Portage Friendship Centre ratified their new collective agreement with their employer.
“Our committee and Employer worked well together and really did an awesome job during this round of bargaining,” said Union Negotiator Phil Krayuck. “The wages achieved at the table will help our members out during these challenging times.”
The new three-year CBA brings excellent salary increases along with increased mileage.
Portage La Prairie Friendship Centre Inc. is a non-profit organization committed to becoming self-sufficient and continuing cultural, spiritual and educational programming. Our members work with Indigenous peoples who live in and around Portage la Prairie. They work on programs for the Centre and plan events such as Elders’ dinners.
