Your negotiations committee consisting of Florence Barr (3610), Kelly Barr (3442), Debbie Rasmussen (7074), Daylon Vanthul (7499), Mike Howden (Union Rep), Roberta Hoogervorst (Union Rep), Ron Allard (Executive Advisor to the President) and myself met with the Employer committee on January 9th & 10th, 2024. The Employer’s Committee is three store owners, Jeramie Garrido (7074), Casey Hellard (3442), Chris Prayag (7141) and Senior Labour Relations Representative, Sean Mclennan from Loblaw in Alberta. We continued to work through our non-monetary proposals and are in a good position to start dealing with the monetary proposals next week.
Our next dates set for negotiations are Monday January 15th to Friday January 19th, 2024. Our goal is to get through all of the outstanding proposals by both parties and bring a recommended settlement to all of our members that you will be able to vote on.
Some members have asked about how they will be able to vote on this contract. The committee discussed and once we reach a tentative agreement, we will email and mail out all documentation to the members at No Frills to review. We will then be at each of your stores to give you an opportunity to ask any questions and vote on the settlement offer. Once we have finalized a schedule, we will be sure to send everyone a copy of the schedule with the dates and times we will be in your store out to everyone.
