General Mills Members Ratify New Deal

On February 1 and 2General Mills employees voted 77% In favour of a new two-year deal.

The new deal will see a three percent wage increase retroactive to November 1, 2022, along with an additional 3 percent wage increase this upcoming November 1.

Members on Teams one and three who work as Kitchen technicians, Robotics operators or Packaging Machine technicians will receive an additional 20 cents per hour effective February 5, 2023.

Improvements to vision care, dental plan, vacation scheduling, and bereavement leave were also in the new deal.

The members rejected a previous deal on December 4, 2022, and with a 94% strike mandate the bargaining committee met with the employer and agreed on a shorter two-year deal.
