May 21, 2021 – The Executive Board of UFCW Local 832 has unanimously endorsed Team Unite for their upcoming leadership elections for the Canadian Labour Congress (CLC).
Bea Bruske (current Secretary-Treasurer for UFCW Local 832) is running to be the president of the CLC. Running mate Lily Chang (CUPE 79) is running for the position of Secretary-Treasurer, and Siobhan Vipond (AFL) is running for CLC Executive Vice-President.
“Our executive board is very optimistic about the future of the CLC with Team Unite guiding the labour movement across Canada,” said Jeff Traeger, President of UFCW Local 832. “I can’t think of anyone who’s more passionate and driven about worker’s rights and fairness than Bea Bruske. Together with her team, she’ll provide Canada’s labour movement with a bright future.”
UFCW Local 832 will send a full delegation to the virtual CLC Convention on June 16-18, 2021. We encourage all UFCW Locals across Canada to support Bea and Team Unite.
