ACL Interlake members lock in a three-year deal

UFCW 832’s members at Association for Community Living (ACL) Interlake voted in favour of ratifying a new, three-year CBA with a number of enhancements around benefits and premiums.

“Workers in this sector received a wage boost last year from our provincial government,” says Phil Kraychuk, union negotiator. “So with this committee, we were able to focus on improving other benefits that would enhance their quality of life.”

Highlights include:

  • Increased night and weekend premiums
  • Increased vision and health spending allotments
  • Lowered the yearly qualifications for the long service premium and the RRSP

UFCW 832 represents support and residential workers at ACL’s Interlake branch, a non-profit organization dedicated to the full inclusion of people living with an intellectual disability.
