Members vote to accept final offer from Dauphin Co-op

August 27, 2019

The bargaining committee had recommended that the membership say no to this offer, but on Sunday, August 25, 2019, members in Dauphin voted yes to accept the Co-operatives Final Offer.

The Union has filed an Unfair Labour Practise against the employer for interference, through inappropriate communications.

"Last time they gave over 2% each year and have since built a new store that is doing very well," said Sonia Taylor, Negotiator. "While the cost of living is going up more and more, the Co-op wants to put less and less in their employee's pockets."

The new four-year deal will include back-pay going back to July 1, 2018, a $5 increase to the boot allowance and 1.5% pay increase each year over the life of the contract.
