Workers at Compass Group Canada Secure Three-Year Collective Agreement, Wage Increases

Congratulations to the UFCW 832 members at Compass Group Canada! Despite the recent upheaval in the hospitality sector due to the COVID-19 pandemic, these members successfully ratified a new three-year deal using mail-in ballots and a town hall.

Highlights from this deal include 75-90¢ of wage increases over the life of the agreement, language clean-up and an additional sick day.

Union negotiator Phil Kraychuk said, “In times like these, it’s more important than ever to give our members as much certainty as possible. Compass Group workers and their families can now count on future wage increases and the stability that comes from having a solid agreement in place between employer and employees.”

Compass Group Canada Ltd. is a national company that provides services in a variety of areas, including food services. UFCW Local 832 represent members at the Boeing location in Winnipeg who monitor inventory and order, prep and cook food for the cafeteria service at this location.
