A new three-year deal has been ratified for UFCW 832 members working for Aramark Refreshments. After a fairly swift round of bargaining, we have come to an agreement that includes a number of important improvements.
We made lots of progress on language cleanup, ensuring that our contracts are clearer and easier to understand. We were able to get the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation added to your list of holidays, recognizing the important work of Indigenous Peoples in Canada, especially if the provincial government continues to ignore this day.
For monetary gains we were able to:
- Increase the shoe and mileage allowance
- Increase the Lead Hand premium from 50¢ to $1
- Wage increases of 8.25% over the life of the agreement
- There were additional top-rate wage increases
- $500 signing bonus
Finally, for those who don’t qualify for pension contributions due to age or already collecting, we have created new language to ensure that you receive the support you need.
UFCW 832 represents the members at Aramark Canada Ltd. in Refreshment Services who are dedicated to ensuring quality products, such as coffee and snacks for vending machines, are ready and delivered to their clients in Winnipeg and various parts of Manitoba.
