The Union received sad news this morning when we learned that another union member who worked at the Exceldor Plant in Blumenort has passed away. This Member had previously contracted COVID-19 and was sent home to self-isolate.
We want to offer our sincerest condolences to family, friends and fellow union-members working at Exceldor. When someone loses a family member or a close friend, it’s a stark reminder about how devasting this virus can be.
Winnipeg’s Metropolis Region is entering Code Red tomorrow, and the rest of the Province will enter Code Orange. We want to remind all UFCW members and the public to follow public health guidelines. Don’t have social gatherings, wear a mask, wash your hands and social distance. Doing these very simple things can help save a life.
