November 21, 2023: UFCW 832 members at Mound Milk voted in favour of their new, three-year contract, which includes a 5.5% wage increase in year one.
“This group worked hard to get a fair deal,” says Joe Carreiro, Union Negotiator. “Wage increases were a top priority for these members but it’s nice to see some other benefits coming their way as well.”
Highlights from the newly ratified CBA include:
- increases to meal allowances,
- new vision care benefit,
- retro pay to November 1, 2023 and a 5.5% wage increase in year 1 as well as wage increases that will be a minimum of 2.5% in years two and three, and
- overall language cleanup.
Our members at Mount Milk have class 1 licenses and pick up milk from producers in the southwest corner of the province and deliver it to Saputo in Brandon, where it is processed.
