SRSD Proposal Meeting & Bargaining Committee Selection

Dear Member,

My name is Joe Carreiro, the Lead Negotiator for your first Collective Agreement with your Employer.

We have scheduled your proposal meeting, which is the most important meeting for new members with our Union. This will be your opportunity to bring forward all of your ideas and suggestions for what you want to see in your future Collective Agreement. You can also email proposals ideas to myself at the email listed below, or fill them out on the “Give Us Your Ideas” sheet included with this letter and send it back to me in the postage paid envelope by September 11, 2023.

These will be the only opportunities you will have to do this. Once your Bargaining Committee prepares a proposal package and presents it to the Employer, no new proposals can be added.

The date, time and location of the meetings are as follows:

Date: THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 14, 2023

Time:  6:30 PM

Location:  CLUB JOVIAL, 157 CENTRAL AVENUE, STE ANNE, MANITOBA

It is of the utmost importance that you make every effort possible to attend this meeting.

At this meeting, you will also be selecting which of your colleagues you would like to have on the Bargaining Committee. This committee will be nominated and voted in by you. Nominations can be submitted either by mail with the enclosed ballot, or in person at the Proposal Meeting. Please use the postage paid envelope provided by September 11, 2023. If we have more than three individuals nominated, we will hold a vote at that same meeting. You must be in attendance to vote
