Dunn-Rite members ratify a new collective agreement

UFCW 832 members working at Dunn-Rite Food Products voted yes to ratify a new five-year agreement.

“Our bargaining committee worked hard to secure an agreement that’s fair for themselves and their co-workers,” says Phil Kraychuk, Union Negotiator. “Our members at Dunn-Rite will see increased wages and some boosts to their benefits that we hope translates into an improved quality of life for them and their families.”

The new contract includes the following improvements over its five-year term:

  • Increased wages, updated wage groups and an increase to night premiums
  • Retroactive pay from June 30, 2021 when the previous contract expired
  • Increased vision benefits
  • Language cleanup

UFCW 832 represents approximately 375 members at Dunn-Rite Food Products, a chicken production and processing facility in Winnipeg.
