We’ll begin negotiating the Safeway and FreshCo contract, which expires on March 19, 2022, later this year and are looking for members interested in joining the Bargaining Committee for 2021/2022. Committee positions are open to all members.

- Why you want to be on the bargaining committee.
The Union and Safeway Reps will select the committee members based on the information you submit with a priority on your reasons for applying, geographic location, experience and a diversity of departments within its considerations.
We expect that this round of talks will be more difficult than usual because of the changes to the industry as a result of COVID-19 and the six FreshCo conversions since our last negotiations.
