Security Guard Training
Security Guards in Manitoba must be trained and licensed. Proper training ensures people are better equipped to deal with the potentially dangerous situations that arise in security work.

Course Info
The Security Guard Training Program is open to everyone, even if you’re not a member of our union.
Mandatory attendance for all days (40 hrs) is required in order to write the provincial exam.
We proudly represent Security Guards with several employers in Manitoba. You can view our Security Employers on our Collective Agreements page.

SECURITY GUARD TRAINING – WINNIPEG
Classes are taught by an experienced instructor and in-person attendance is required.
NEXT SESSION:
- July 2 – July 17: Monday to Thursday, 5:00 – 9:00 pm
Fees & Registration
FEES
Prices include manual ($15) and certificate ($25).
- $150 for members whose employer contributes to the Education and Training Trust Fund (ETTF)
- $175 for all other UFCW 832 members
- $200 for non-members.
Fees do not include the cost of the Security Guard exam with Manitoba Justice ($30). Your instructor will provide directions for the registration requirements.
