UFCW 832’s members at Fort La Bosse School Division have voted strongly in favour of ratifying their two collective bargaining agreements: one for bus drivers, maintenance, custodians and administrative staff; and one for educational assistants.
“We had an incredible committee bargaining for our members,” says Phil Kraychuk, union negotiator. “They stuck to what was reasonable and fair and we’ve come out with a good deal for both groups.”
Both groups now have four-year CBAs with:
- 10.5% increase on wages
- Immediate wage adjustments to some classifications
- Full retroactive pay on wages
- Language cleanup
Fort La Bosse School Division is located in southwest Manitoba. The division office is located in Virden and they support approximately 1,400 students in 10 schools.
