Valleyview Consumers Co-op Ratification meeting

As you know, on December 14, 2023, three ratification meetings were held to vote on the renewal of your Collective Agreement, and the result of that vote is that it was rejected by a majority of those who attended.

The Union informed the Co-operative of the vote results and enquired if the Co-operative would be in agreement to meet again for further negotiations. The Co-operative has confirmed that they will be reviewing their previous offer, and have agreed to meet with your Bargaining Committee on the morning of January 29, 2024.

In preparation for the Co-operative’s response, the Union is scheduling meetings on January 29^th and 30^th, 2024 to vote on a new tentative agreement offer.
