Debra joined the staff at UFCW as legal counsel in May 2006. Prior to that, she articled for Myers Weinberg LLP in the labour law department. Debra received her Bachelor of Arts Honours degree in 2001, then went on to pursue a law degree. She received her Bachelor of Law degree in 2005. Debra comes from a strong labour background. She worked for the City of Winnipeg Golf Services for eight years as a CUPE member and has always kept up with the labour movement. She is also actively involved with the legal community. She is a member of the Canadian Association of Labour Lawyers and the Canadian Bar Association.
