Scholarship Application Form

Applications are available from February to May each year.

To use this application page, scroll down and review Scholarship Options #1 and #2 to see which one you are eligible for. Check off either Scholarship that you want to apply for (or both).

Scholarship Options & Conditions

The Director of Education & Training, UFCW Local 832, will select the successful applicants. This decision is final and binding and is not subject to appeal.

By filling in this application and submitting it, I am agreeing to these conditions:

  1. If I have not already completed my Diploma/Degree, I will make every attempt to graduate.
  2. I declare the information provided in this application is true.
  3. I will read, sign and date the Privacy Protection and Personal Information Consent on page four.
  4. I agree to have a photo or video of myself used in UFCW promotional materials.

Scholarship Option #1
$2,000 Workplace Specific Scholarship

There are three $2,000 Workplace Scholarships, they are only available to ETTF members:

  1. Open only to members presently employed by one of the following:
    Loblaw Companies
    Maple Leaf
    Sobeys West
    Red River Co-op
  2. Member must be in good standing with UFCW Local 832
  3. Only one UFCW Local 832 scholarship will be awarded per recipient for life.
  4. This scholarship must be used within the year it is awarded.

Scholarship Option #2
$1,000 GENERAL SCHOLARSHIP

There are 18 General scholarships of $1,000 each.

  1. Open to members, presently employed by a company that has agreed to make contributions to the Education and Training Trust Fund, and their dependent children.
  2. Only one UFCW Local 832 scholarship will be awarded per lifetime per member; however, a member with more than one dependent could receive an award for each dependent child.
  3. Member must be in good standing with UFCW Local 832
  4. This scholarship must be used within the year it is awarded.
