Important Notice to Members of the Manitoba Food and Commercial Workers Dental Plan
Since the dental plan coverage was reduced in 2011, it has been the Trustees’ goal to restore the coverage to the previous benefit levels when financially possible. The Trustees are pleased to announce the following Plan improvements, effective for Dental treatment received on and after July 1, 2022:
- Basic services reimbursement will be increased from 90% to 100%
- Major services reimbursement will be increased from 80% to 90%
- Reimbursement will be based on the 2022 MDA Fee Guides
These changes fulfill the restoration of coverage to the benefit levels prior to 2011.
Dental treatment that is pre-authorized before July 1, 2022 but performed on or after that day will be reimbursed at the new percentages and fee guides.
