Negotiations begin at Ukrainian Farmers co-op, employer's offer is unacceptable

December 2, 2011
On November 30,  and December 1,  your union negotiating committee (Josiah Bilinski, Donna Knowles and I) met with your employer to begin negotiations for a new collective agreement. The meetings were held in Winnipeg, and the Co-operative was represented by Jim Cruikshank, Bob Schreyer, John Rudyk, with Scott Newell (Labour Relations Director from Saskatoon) as spokesperson. We resolved most non-monetary issues on the first day, and began monetary discussions on the second day. Unfortunately, we were not able to reach agreement on several items, including wages.
