No Deal at the Burntwood Legion in Thompson

May 23, 2018

On April 28, the negotiating committees had reached a tentative deal on the renewal of the collective agreement for the union members working at the Royal Canadian Legion Burntwood River Branch No. 244 (Burntwood Legion). However, the Legion’s executive board did not ratify the proposed agreement and, therefore, there is no deal.

The Union has applied to have a conciliation officer appointed to assist the parties in getting an agreement. Lead union negotiator Sonia Taylor will provide an update once more meeting dates have been scheduled.
