Negotiations Launch at NPF CFB Shilo

May 3, 2019

The negotiating committees for UFCW Local 832 and NPF CFB Shilo met on April 15 through 18 to begin negotiations towards a new collective agreement for the union members working at NPF Shilo.

After the three days of talks, the parties reached deals on the majority of the non-monetary items and had good discussions on several of the outstanding proposals. However, the negotiating committees did not touch on any of the monetary items as they are waiting for a monetary mandate from the Treasury Board in Ottawa.

NPF Shilo Negotiations a Waiting Game

December 1, 2014 to December 3, 2014

The union has been waiting for the company to supply them with dates to commence bargaining towards a new collective agreement for the members at NPF Shilo. The employer has advised the union that it is still waiting for a mandate.

Therefore, the parties will not start negotiations until the middle of March 2015. Negotiations dates have been set for March 10, 13, 23 and 24.

In the meantime, the union negotiating committee, led by Marie Buchan and assisted by Wendy Lundy and Stacey Vandecaveye, met in November to finalize proposals.
