Krown Members Vote Yes on 4-Year Agreement

UFCW Local 832 members working at Krown Produce voted in favour of a new four-year collective agreement by 100 percent.

At date of signing, each member received a $350 signing bonus as well as a two percent increase to their wages. Additional two percent increases on members’ wages are scheduled in each of the following three years of the four-year deal.

Bargaining at Krown Produce to Begin Soon

The existing collective agreement for the members at Krown Produce expires on May 31, 2017. The union has already begun to prepare for the upcoming negotiations and has scheduled a proposals meeting for June 2. This is the time for the members to bring forward their ideas and suggestions on what they would like to see changed in their new agreement.
UFCW will keeps its members informed as negotiations move along.

Krown Produce negotiations delayed until June

Negotiations were scheduled to begin on May 12 and May 23, but the employer’s lawyers are not all available those days (one is in Winnipeg, and one will be travelling in from Saskatoon).

Negotations have been  rescheduled for June 3 and June 27 at the union office. Although the contract expires May 3, the old one remains in place until a new one is ratified.

We have been able to resolve a few more outstanding issues. However, all monetary items, remain outstanding as do several key non-monetary items. All items agreed are conditional on a tentative agreement being reached. Additional discussions will be held with the Employer. We believe it is critical your proposals be taken very seriously therefore, a membership meeting is scheduled as follows
