Grace Hospital, DSM and Pharmacy Program Members Ratify Collective Agreements

In early April, the negotiating committees for Grace Hospital, DSM and Pharmacy Program reached tentative deals on the renewal of the collective agreements for the members working in these units. On April 14, the members voted over 92 per cent in favour of the new agreements, pharmacy voted 95 per cent. The collective agreements all expire on March 31, 2018.


Tentative Contract Reached at Grace Hospital, DSM and Pharmacy Program

The negotiating committees for members at Grace Hospital, DSM and Pharmacy Program have reached a tentative deal on a new collective agreement. UFCW Local 832 has ratification votes scheduled for Thursday, April 14.

At the meetings, the union will provide a summary of negotiations and the details of the settlement, which the union committee is recommending acceptance by the membership.


Tentative Agreement Reached at Grace Hospital

The union negotiating committee is pleased to advise the members at Grace Hospital, including DSM and the Pharmacy Program, that a tentative agreement has been reached with your employer on the renewal of their collective agreement.

Once the details of the new deal have been ironed out, the union will schedule a ratification meeting. At the meeting the members will hear the specifics of the settlement prior to voting on the acceptance of their new collective agreement.


Grace Hospital/DSM/Pharmacy Program Negotiations Move Along

November 25, 2015

The bargaining committees for the Grace Hospital, Diagnostic Services Manitoba (DSM) and the Pharmacy program met on October and again on November 6. Negotiations will continue to move along, as the parties have additional bargaining dates scheduled for November 27 and 30.

The employer advised the union that it has received a monetary mandate and will be in a position to start discussing monetary issues at the upcoming sessions.

Negotiations for a new collective agreement are continuing. The bargaining committees have had four days of talks with the three employers and additional dates are scheduled for December 2, 10 and 11. The parties have also secured dates in January. 


Grace Negotiations Have Commenced

October 3, 2014

Negotiations got underway today for a new collective agreement for the Grace Hospital employees covered by the WRHA Grace Hospital, Diagnostic Services of Manitoba and Pharmacy Program collective agreements. As all three agreements are relatively similar, the parties are bargaining at a common bargaining table. The parties exchanged proposals today and have three additional dates set for this month.

HEB Manitoba update on Life insurance plan

HEB Manitoba mailed a PlanTalk Special Edition newsletter to members in April, detailing a number of significant changes to the Life Insurance Plan. From October 1 to November 30, 2012, HEB Manitoba will hold an open enrolment period providing all active, eligible members with a one-time opportunity to make new Life Insurance benefit elections based on upcoming benefit enhancements. Elections made during the open enrolment period will become effective April 1, 2013.

Grace Hospital members ratify new agreement

Three groups support four-year deal.

On June 27, members at the Grace Hospital, Diagnostic Services of Manitoba (DSM) and WRHA Pharmacy Program ratified a new four-year collective agreement. The new agreement will expire on March 31, 2014. The group have been working without a collective agreement since March 31, 2010. The three groups will have no increases in salaries for 2010 and 2011 but will see a 2.75 per cent increase on April 1, 2012 and another 2.75 per cent increase on April 1, 2013.

Employers present package offers April 15

The union met again with all three employers on April 15, to resume negotiations. Shannon Pilon from Conciliation Services was also present. The employers each tabled “final package offers” that included monetary improvements from the last time we met.
