Martin Trudel

Martin joined the staff of UFCW Local 832 in March of 2012. Before that, he had been a regional manager for Garda Security Corp since 2009 and his portfolio included all client accounts, operations, labour relations, health & safety, WCB and ISO compliance matters.

His experience at Garda gives him the advantage of knowing both sides of the table—management and labour. His knowledge of the corporate sector is a major asset in serving the best interests of Local 832 members during any negotiations process. Martin is also fully bilingual and thus able to provide assistance to our members in both official languages.

Prior to this he worked as an RCMP officer in the province of Manitoba for a period of 12 years in different capacities such as general policing, criminal intelligence and was part of several organized crime task forces.

In terms of professional development, Martin holds a Social Science degree from a Quebec university as well as a Human Resources Management Diploma and Management Certificate from the University of Winnipeg.
