UFCW Local 832 celebrates the historical achievements of women

March 6, 2018

International Women's Day is celebrated annually on March 8.

This day arose from the struggles that women faced at the turn of the century, when population growth and a change in working conditions saw many women in the workforce, facing long hours, minimum pay and no right to vote.

On March 8, let’s celebrate the progress we’ve made, while understanding that we still have a long way to go.

UFCW Canada has launched the #NoMore campaign to help end gender-based violence. The goal of the #NoMore campaign is to create awareness about gender-based violence in the workplace by calling out its different forms, such as harassment, sexual harassment, and assault.

Make sure you take the time to fill out their survey on the bottom.
