IKWE Collective Agreement Up for Negotiations

February 8, 2018

The existing collective agreement for the union members at Ikwe-Widdiitiwin (IKWE) expires on March 31, 2018. IKWE is a crisis shelter for Aboriginal women and children seeking refuge from domestic violence situations.

Union negotiator Sonia Taylor will head up these negotiations and the union has already begun to prepare for bargaining. As part of these preparations, negotiator Taylor has scheduled a proposals meeting for the members at IKWE. This will give them a chance to bring any suggestions forward as to what changes they would like to see negotiatied into their new collective agreement.

As the negotiations process progresses, the union will keep its members updated.
