Reh-Fit Members 100% Vote in Favour of New 2-Year Agreement

September 19, 2017

On September 18, the union members at the Reh-Fit Centre voted 100 per cent in favour of a new two-year deal.

The employees’ wages will go up by two per cent in each of the agreement and the maintenance employees will receive an additional 6.4 per cent increase in the form of a wage adjustment.

The union bargaining committee is pleased with the new agreement. Besides the monetary increases, they were able to negotiate better bereavement leave, better employer supplied equipment as well as improved language throughout the agreement as a whole.

Employees hired after the last ratification will have a 24-month extension to get their CEP certification and the employer will provide an interest free loan to employees wanting to take the CEP certification. As well, employees will only have to pay back half of the loan with a low payroll installment.
