July 30, 2008
On July 29, UFCW local 832 members at Reh-Fit centre in Winnipeg ratified a new three-year collective agreement by 67 per cent. The new agreement will see wages increase from 3 per cent up to 19 per cent after the vote.  The contract also contains provisions on retroactive pay from April 1. Another significant change in the collective agreement is the move away from giving members a yearly allowance for uniforms to now being provided by the company. The Reh-Fit centre offers cardiac rehabilitation and community fitness, it opened in 1979 and completed a major renovation in 2006. Over 50 UFCW members work in the cardiology department, fitness, accounting, and maintenance.
