A new contract ratified by Local 832 members at the Reh-Fit Centre includes an eight per cent wage increase over the life of the agreement

On Sunday, June 5, the members at the Reh-Fit Centre ratified a new three-year collective agreement by 100 per cent. Members will see an eight per cent wage increase over the life of the contract. A two per cent retroactive wage increase will be effective from April 2005, and another two per cent wage increase will be retroactive from April 2006. On top of the eight per cent another $1 an hour will be given to the Cardiology Lab Co-ordinator and a 50-cent an hour increase for the Front Desk Membership Co-ordinator. Members will also see an increase in their clothing allowance as well. The collective agreement came into effective April 2005 and will expire in April 2008. The Reh-Fit Centre opened its new state-of-the-art facility in 2006 located at 1390 Taylor Avenue. It was first opened in 1979 and was Canada's first exercise-based cardiac institute.
