Negotiations for a new collective agreement started on Friday, November 1st. The parties have had two days of negotiations to date and have seven more days scheduled between now and Christmas.

Epic Opportunities Ratifies Collective Agreement by 91%
November 11, 2019
After several months of negotiations, UFCW 832 is pleased to announce that Epic Opportunities has ratified a new collective agreement with a solid turnout and 91% of the vote.
Some of the most important changes include cleaning up outdated language in the agreement, opening up paid bereavement days - so they no longer have to be taken consecutively, and securing new language on personal vehicle usage and float days.

From October 16 to October 18, 2019, we met with the Co-operative to continue negotiations. Progress has been slow, but we have agreed to the majority of non-monetary items.

Rolling Dale Members Vote in favour of Strike Action

October 24, 2019 - UFCW members at Rolling Dale Enterprises Inc. in Rivers MB voted 94% in favour of giving the Bargaining Committee a Strike Mandate.
The current agreement ended on August 31, and the current agreement is in effect until a new contract can be ratified.
The UFCW 832 bargaining committee will be returning to the table with the employer as soon as possible to work out a deal.

Stella’s Sherbrook Location Achieves First Contract

After a meeting that took place, yesterday (Sunday, October 6, 2019), UFCW 832 members working at Stella’s Sherbrook location now have their first contract in their hands.
UFCW 832 had been attempting to bargain a fair deal with the employers since earlier this year, and we were unable to reach a fair deal with the employer, so the Union made an application for first-contract legislation at the Manitoba Labour Board.
