North of 53 Co-op in Flin Flon ratify contract

August 11, 2006 On August 10 members at the North of 53 Co-op in Flin Flon voted 89% in favour of extending their contract till December 31, 2008 and a 10% wage increase. Upon ratification, members will receive a 2.5% increase, they will receive an additional increase effective May 29, 2007 and the final 5% on May 29, 2008. » Read More

August 11, 2006 On August 10, young members of UFCW Local 832 along with family and friends attended the scholarship ceremony at the UFCW Training Centre. The annual event was established years ago to award members who want to further their education in college or university.

New Price for Golf Tournament

August 3, 2006 UFCW Local 832 President Robert Ziegler has announced today that the entry fee for UFCW Local 832 members wanting to participate in this years Drive for a Cure Golf Tournament for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society has been reduced to $100 per member. Tentative Agreement Reached at Cara-ATR

July 18, 2006 UFCW Local 832 announced today that it has reached a tentative agreement with CARA-ATR. Over 100 employees will be affected by the new agreement. Terms of the agreement have not been released yet but will be available for a ratification meeting that will be scheduled in the middle of August. Check back for further updates.

Shoppers Drug Mart Employees Join UFCW

July 14, 2006 The Manitoba Labour Relations Board announced on July 13 that UFCW Local 832 was successful in signing up more than 65% of the employees at the Shopper Drug Mart located at 795 Keewatin.
