Manitoba Security Guards facing a surprise wage-freeze by Pallister Government

Manitoba security guards won’t be getting the pay increase they were expecting on October 1. Instead, the Pallister Government is in the middle of pausing legislation that governs Manitoba’s security guards minimum wages — and may be planning to revoke it entirely.

Sysco Warehouse Members to Prepare for Negotiations

The existing collective agreement for UFCW members working at the Sysco warehouse in Winnipeg expires on December 29, and the union has already begun to prepare for the bargaining of a new agreement.

Rolling Dale Negotiations Continue October 26

The bargaining committees for Rolling Dale Enterprises will continue negotiations on October 26. The only issues still on the table are the monetary proposals. The union will provide the members at Rolling Dale with an update after the October 26 meeting.

Reh-Fit Members 100% Vote in Favour of New 2-Year Agreement

On September 18, the union members at the Reh-Fit Centre voted 100 per cent in favour of a new two-year deal.


The employees’ wages will go up by two per cent in each of the agreement and the maintenance employees will receive an additional 6.4 per cent increase in the form of a wage adjustment.

Compass Members Unanimous on New 3-Year Deal

September 15, 2017

Local 832 union members working at for Compass Group at the Boeing facility in Winnipeg voted unanimously in favour of a new three-year deal.

The employees received a wage increase of 30-cents per hour, retroactive to May 1, 2017. Another wage increase of 35 more cents per hour will take place May 1, 2018 and a further 40-cent increase to wages effective May 1, 2019.

New Name, New Agreement!

HP (Hewlett Packard Canada) is now ESIT Canada Enterprises Co.

On September 7, UFCW members have ratified a new two-year deal. The new agreement contains wage increases of 3.8 per cent, stronger language on workload issues and training for employees.

Local 832 represents approximately 45 members in Winnipeg.

ACL Negotiations Continue October 18
