SRG Security Negotiations Starting August 29

The Union and the Company bargaining committees are set to begin negotiations on August 29 and continue on the 30.

Avis Budget Negotiations Postponed

June 26, 2018

The negotiations scheduled for July 17 and 18 have been postponed until August 22 and 23 due to a scheduling conflict. Union negotiator Sonia Taylor will provide an update after the August 23 meeting as to the status of these negotiations.

Productive bargaining so far with Loblaw

CDC Members Ratify a New Agreement

June 21, 2018

On June 19, 2018, UFCW Local 832 union members working at the Carberry Distribution Centre unanimously voted “yes” to accept a new four-year collective agreement.

During the life of the contract, the employees’ wages will increase by eight per cent. The new agreement also includes an increase to the freezer premium as well as to the amount of banked time.

Red Rive Co-op Negotiations Challenging, to Continue Next Month

The Union and the Co-op negotiating committees met on June 11, 12 and 13 for three full days of challenging bargaining. The parties had very open and productive discussions on options that are available to resolve the outstanding issues, which deal with mostly monetary issues.
