Reh-Fit members ratify new three-year deal

July 30, 2008 On July 29, UFCW local 832 members at Reh-Fit centre in Winnipeg ratified a new three-year collective agreement by 67 per cent. The new agreement will see wages increase from 3 per cent up to 19 per cent after the vote.  The contract also contains provisions on retroactive pay from April 1. Over 215 new members join local 832

July 29, 2008 On July 10 a certification vote was held for the employees at Securitas Security voted overwhelmingly in favour of joining the local. A proposal meeting is set for August 10 at the UFCW Local 832 Training Centre, located at 880 Portage Avenue. Meeting times are Noon and 7:00 p.m.

Notice to all Portage Friendship Centre Members

July 13, 2008 Negotiations scheduled for June 23 and 24 were postponed due to a mixup in scheduling and Garda Moran’s retirement. Stewart Alcorn will now be heading up negotiations for your Employer. One of the board members may join him at the bargaining table. As such, the next bargaining meeting is scheduled for August 26 at 6 PM. The union will send out another update after that meeting
